This imposing terracotta building features intricate Renaissance architecture. A range of room types caters for the different needs of guests, ensuring that marble-clad lobby buzzes with business and leisure travellers from all over the world. The hotel interior retains many of its original features, including Sicilian marble columns, high vaulted ceilings, huge chandeliers, oak panelling and the grand marble staircase. The building was founded in 1898 by the famous architect Fitzroy Doll, who also worked on the grand facilities of the Titanic. This hotel has 373 guestrooms in various styles.
